Story and How to Access
Before the haunted hotel or School of Nightmares, PETAPETA already claimed this island. By Shogun decree, prisoners dig endlessly — touching the wrong vein wakes the curse. The Roblox experience is separate from main hotel Place ID 14451515684:
- Experience: PETAPETA: Cursed Mine Island [Beta]
- Place ID: 80765013884874
- Universe ID: 9927516783
- Developer: Omochi Studio (Omochi_Studio's PETA PETA)
Progress does not unlock hotel Chapter 2 or School of Nightmares skill nodes — treat Cursed Mine Island as optional franchise lore and a distinct survival loop.
Core Gameplay Loop (Every Floor)
Each mine floor repeats a mining–offering cycle with rising PETAPETA pressure:
- Explore tunnels — Map branching paths with your pickaxe equipped; ore nodes glow or sit on vein walls.
- Mine ore — Strike nodes until fragments drop; inventory fills quickly on deeper floors.
- Pack ore — Some floors still require bagging ore before transport; July 2026 patches shifted some quotas to minecart loads — follow HUD text.
- Offer at the minecart — Deliver required ore to the floor minecart (replacing earlier static altar stations on current patches) to unlock descent.
- Hide in narrow paths — When PETAPETA spots you, sprint into tight side tunnels and break line of sight. Wardrobes do not exist here.
Community clears report 35+ floors with rescue side objectives appearing on mid-to-deep runs — save trapped miners when HUD prompts without abandoning bag routes.
Hiding Without Wardrobes
Cursed Mine Island replaces hotel closets with narrow path alcoves — pinch corridors where PETAPETA loses sight if you stay still:
- Red-screen hunt cues still apply — enter alcoves only when Tier 3 audio hits, not on distant footsteps alone.
- Do not block your own exit — pick alcoves with a forward escape if PETAPETA circles back.
- Carrying ore bags slows movement; drop bags only in safe pockets if the game allows — never mid-hunt in open tunnels.
- Headphones recommended; mine echoes mimic hotel hunt tiers but with tighter reaction windows on Hard seeds.

July 17, 2026 — Treasures, Encyclopedia, Class Adjustments
Omochi Studio's July 17 patch reshaped mid-run progression:
- Treasures — New collectible rewards scattered in side tunnels; prioritize when HUD marks optional treasure routes without missing minecart quotas.
- Encyclopedia — In-game codex logging discovered ores, creatures, and floor lore — complements School of Nightmares Archives across the franchise.
- Class adjustments — Player role or loadout tuning (check in-game update log for your patch) — may shift pickaxe speed or carry limits on deep floors.
- Minecart offering — Official Roblox description now lists minecart descent instead of static altars — pre-June guides showing altar rooms may be outdated.
Read the lobby update log after each deploy — Omochi Studio notes detail numbers the wiki cannot mirror before community verification.
June 2026 Rebalance (Floors 1–15)
Omochi Studio shipped a significant June 2026 patch adjusting early-mid mine progression:
- Monster AI — PETAPETA patrol paths on floors 1–15 retuned; fewer safe standing spots in main shafts.
- Resource distribution — Ore node density and altar requirements rebalanced for solo players.
- Solo 1–15 guides — Community full clears emphasize constant movement between nodes and pre-scouting alcoves before bag pickup.
Pre-June YouTube floor routes may show obsolete node clusters — prioritize current altar counts from your HUD over memorized room numbers.
Deep Floors (16–35+) and Ending
Veteran streams document marathon descents past floor 15 with stacked rescue objectives and heavier bag quotas:
- Pre-mark altar rooms before mining distant veins — backtracking with full bags triggers hunts.
- Rescue prompts on floors 20+ often branch off main shafts; assign one player to escort while another finishes altar prep in teams.
- Ending sequences play after deepest verified clears — watch for environmental storytelling tying the island curse to hotel PETAPETA.
Full-game video reference embedded above covers floor-by-floor pacing through ending — use it alongside this wiki for objective wording when patches shift minecart quotas. For deep-floor reference, community clears of floors 31–35 are documented in this floor 31–35 walkthrough video.
